I have been dabbling with Python and Ruby for a while just as a hobby. I find it so empowering to be able to build prototypes and mess around with APIs and explore different frameworks on my own. I highly recommend it to all product managers that they get their programming skills sharpened a bit. Eddie Chan offers a great way to get started.
